9 Photos That Prove I Love Reception Images Too
Here on the blog, I spend a lot of time talking about the crucial detail shots and sharing intimate portraits of just the couple.
Reading some of my posts, you probably think all I care about is these two categories, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth.
The reality is, when I tell the story of the day, photos putting the actual couple into context (their beautiful faces, how they’re dressed, their poses, and expressions). As well as some clear, detailed images of the day’s adornments (cake, ring, florals, and venue) are what you would logically expect. Those are some of the prettiest photos.
That said, the story isn’t complete there. There’s plenty that’s left out, and for the sake of brevity with my blog posts, sometimes I leave out a good deal of the shots from the reception.
I do so for a few reasons, ranging from privacy concerns (since many receptions have liquor and open bars, which can make for the occasionally questionable “should I post this image?" concern) to…
just how many angles of the "Cha Cha Slide” can you really get?
However, none of that is to say I dislike receptions.
Quite the contrary! Actually, there are quite a few ways you can photograph the “Cha Cha Slide,” I’ve learned over the years.
