3 Reasons You Need a Physical Album for Your Wedding

A lot of couples come to me, thinking about whether or not albums matter in today's age. It used to be 40 years ago that with every wedding, couples got a big fat wedding album that primarily the only way they would share the photos from the day with those that they loved. Here we are in the 21st century, now and things have change greatly. In an age where social media seems to reign supreme, do albums still matter? Does it matter if you get an album for your engagement or wedding? My vote is for absolutely.

Let's dive into why I think that.

A lot of people these days don't give physical albums the fair Shake, because the world is so digital nowadays some folks feel like they would never even crack it open beyond the first glance, but challenge that thought. Just aboutEvery wedding couple that works with me, describes how much they love the photos and they can't stop looking at them. Prior to your wedding day, it's easy to think that you never look at it more than once or twice. Triple day comes, all you look forward to I'm told is seeing pictures of it in action. Actually get the wedding album in your hands, literally cannot stop looking at the photos.

re's something physical about that lets you cherish it in a different way. I absolutely love online digital galleries, but being able to open up your hardback leather bound album view it, it is a completely different experience. Physical albums engage more of the senses, from touch to smell to site. There's something to be said for the fact that you engage more senses when you view a physical album then when you simply just view them on a screen or an iPad.

1. Albums are Mobile

With a physical album, you can literally take your photos with you. Now of course, with the internet you could easily put your wedding photos on and take them with you that way. There's something entirely different about arranging them and putting them into a wedding album, and taking that with you the next thing.

Into a album you make design decisions that are different than an online digital Gallery, which forces 1/2 think about things in a different way. Sometimes it makes sense to look at things chronologically whereas other times what fits better is to think about the major themes from the day. You choose to arrange the book, king is an art and it's one that calls for a bit more decision. I look at the it meant to be decisive about how to arrange things as a major Pro album making, and as a benefit that albums have over I'm.

With an online gallery have an almost infinite number of photos, and simply croll down. Flats with a physical album, you need to be much more active, and you're bound by space so usually you only put a certain number of photos in there. Most albums that I make having between 15 to 20 pages,, with somewhere between 50 2 70 photos, Max. That doesn't seem like a lot, but it's more than you think, given the medium. What I'm saying, considering the medium that you are using, a physical album where you really want to be thoughtful and considerate about each photo that goes into it, is what the whole point for getting an album is.

Having space limitations seems like a negative, but it's actually a major benefit to it because it makes you more thoughtful overall, and love the photos that you do select. You put your best of the best of the best photos into your photo album.

2. Albums give you a physical Backup

Another benefit of physical albums is that they served as another layer in your backup procedure for some extremely important photos that you have. I always recommend parentheses and provide to my clientele cloud backup for their wedding and engagement sessions, for up to two years following the chute parentheses, but I also highly recommend that they print and get physical that they can keep as heirlooms heirlooms just in case. With something as precious and once-in-a-lifetime as your wedding photos, why wouldn't you have every backup possible known to man?

Now, this is the point and many people decide to tune out, feeling like it could never happen to them. But this is also the exact same area where I would highly encourage you, the potential client, to trust the working professional. Make sure to include article on trusting your photographer parentheses. I cannot tell you how many times I was notified by my cloud backup and online hosting Portfolio Service, pixieset, that my clients from one or two even three, years ago downloading their phone from their wedding album. To me, that is an amazing and great thing. Please that I can offer an online backup to my clientele, because then they don't have to worry about whether I still have the photos 12, 18, even 36 months from now,.. They just know.

Now, I am aware that physical wedding albums are in investment. They cost money, there's no getting around that. But with something as once ina lifetime as a wedding, isn't the value of your images priceless? So if perhaps you have a mental objection to wedding albums that solely relies on the cost, I challenge you to change your perspective on just how important your wedding photos might be, should they one day get lost. If cost is a major factor preventing you from wanting to invest in your self as a couple parentheses marriage is a lifelong commitment and there will be many areas in which you want to invest parentheses, I highly recommend you rethink some priorities.
You can't afford to lose your wedding photos is no better way to invest in a backup photo scenario n2 work with your photographer to put together a high quality wedding physical album.

3. There are so MANY options, and you can choose the one that’s right for you

Lastly, should cost be a factor which it is for many people, also know that there are many, many options which can help you save money, but still invest in a physical wedding album. Some examples: Maybe you have your eye on the thick, traditional leather bound hardback album. You know, the thick ones your parents had are there dining room table. You know, the one that looks like it has 700 pages.

Well, if cost is a major factor, to save a few dollars on your album, you could consider the following: Cutting back on a few pages, options outside of your traditional hardback leather parentheses a nice linen bound number could do beautifully for you parentheses, opting for black and white instead of color since color printing always costs more. Additionally, photographe will be able to offer you more suggestions which could help you save money, such as slightly thinner pages that cost a little bit less, but still have an incredibly beautiful look. At the end of the day, your photographer should always be able to give you lots of suggestions for how to maximize your dollars and walk away happy.

That's what I'm here for, and that's what I will always do. I don't want you to miss out on an album if haven't fully considered the ways in which an album could serve you as a marriedcouple for the rest of your lives. I'm here If you want to bounce some ideas off of me about your wedding album.
