CHARLOTTE, NC - Jun 7 - This week, both Robert Burns II Photography and BRIDE Magazine were featured on the Best of Charlotte and Best of LKN podcasts! If you're unfamiliar, The Best of Charlotte is a podcast platform run by Jeff Hamm of Epic Journey Media that shares conversations with the most successful entrepreneurs and small business owners throughout the city. Similarly, The Best of LKN podcast gathers and curates a short list of local small business movers and shakers, putting the spotlight on their backstory and overall entrepreneurial journey. The two podcasts have put out hundreds of episodes since 2020.
In our episode, Jeff and I discussed my roots in Philadelphia, what brought me to Charlotte, and how I started my photography business. I told the story of how I started photography at the University of Georgia, began taking paid assignments, and eventually grew into a seasoned luxury Charlotte wedding photographer, becoming much clearer on our company's brand and value proposition. We also talked about the launch of BRIDE magazine, and what I felt made this magazine so necessary.
After fifteen years in the business, it’s truly an honor and privilege to be able to be considered amongst the best that the local photographers that the Charlotte and Lake Norman regions have to offer wedding couples. But even outside of purely photography, just to be recognized as a local businessowner -- it means a lot. To be mentioned amongst the ranks of Wooden Robot Brewery co-founder Dan Wade, or Jaffer Kovic, owner of the popular local Dilworth Tasting Room wine-infused restaurant franchise (who we collaborated with in creating BRIDE Magazine, by the way), it's an honor, and I do not take the opportunity for granted.
